Recessed Vs. Track Lighting

Track lighting and embedded lighting are two forms of mission lighting, which means they are used to illuminate specific isolated areas. The two options have a lot in common, but although they have similar functions, they make up two completely different lighting systems.Embedded Lighting is installed on the ceiling, sometimes called can lighting.Basically, these lights are mounted on ceiling beams using hanging rods, which generate intermittent light sources along the ceiling according to the arrangement of the lights. There is no clearly visible hanging fixture, but the lamp itself may not always be flush with the ceiling. Some recessed lights extend slightly under the surface of the ceiling, such as short cylinders.Rail lighting includes a series of hanging lights arranged along narrow tracks on the ceiling. The entire track is mounted on the junction box to power the lights. There are three tracks-Lighting System: Basic track system, monorail system and cable system. The basic track system is connected directly to the ceiling, while the track of the monorail system is suspended a few inches below the ceiling.More common cable systems in commercial buildings include steel cables arranged like train tracks, and lights are usually hung in the center.Embedded Lighting is much more subtle than rail lighting, as the lighting blends in with the ceiling. While installation may vary depending on the exact type of recessed or track system, recessed systems are easier to install in most cases. The light is simply placed between the ceiling support beams and covered with a dry wall.In contrast, there can be some very complex installation requirements for rail lighting.Rail lighting usually provides more costEffective lighting solutions because they are installed directly on the ceiling surface during the minimally invasive process and do not require structural modifications of embedded lighting.Because the lights are installed inside the dry wall, the modification of the embedded lights may be difficult and expensive. Some ceilings are not designed to accommodate embedded lighting, and rail lighting can be installed anywhere, which is not worth it either.Because the lights on the rail lighting system hang on the track, you have more flexibility in the position of focusing the light;Just adjust the location of the fixture as needed.
